Foley representa a BICO na venda da MatTek e da Visikol à Sartorius por 80 milhões de dólares

Foley & Lardner LLP representou o BICO Group AB ("BICO") no seu acordo de venda da MatTek Corp e da Visikol Inc à Sartorius Lab Holding GmbH ("Sartorius") por 80 milhões de dólares. A transação segue a estratégia actualizada da BICO de se concentrar na automatização de laboratórios e em fluxos de trabalho selecionados, sendo as receitas da venda utilizadas para reforçar o balanço da BICO e acelerar a sua agenda de crescimento. Prevê-se que a transação seja concluída no segundo trimestre de 2025.

MatTek is a market-leading provider of 3D microtissue models and primary cells for in-vitro testing, offering faster, more cost-efficient, and reproducible alternatives to animal testing. Visikol specializes in advanced imaging and digital pathology.

MatTek’s solutions enhance Sartorius’ Lab Products and Services division’s offerings of cell analysis instruments, reagents, and AI-supported data models. The combined portfolio will be one of the most comprehensive solutions on the market, enabling researchers to accelerate new therapy development and reduce animal testing.
