Under the Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System (HOPPS) Proposed Rule for CY 2018 that was released on July 13, 2017, CMS is proposing to reduce Medicare Part B reimbursement for most separately payable drugs that are purchased by hospitals under the prescription drug discount program established under Section 340B of the federal Public Health Service Act (the 340B program).

Part II of this two-part webinar series is designed to address legal issues on the operational front including implementation of Medicare Part B payment for hospital outpatient drugs, identifying and coding Medicaid Managed Care claims, explore compliance with Medicaid 340B Actual Acquisition Cost reporting requirements, explain the management of operational legal Issues and common compliance risks, examine approaches to third party contracts for contract pharmacy and 340B program administrators, and review recent Health Resources Service Administration policy changes.
