Greg Marino offers clients significant commercial transactional experience, particularly in the sports and entertainment industries. His main areas of focus include sponsorship, media rights, endorsement deals, general corporate structuring, and mergers and acquisitions.

Greg also has notable experience in the emerging field of name, image, and likeness regulation, for which his counsel is sought throughout the college sports ecosystem, including by “Power 5” conference universities, brands, third-party “NIL collectives,” and even “blue chip” student athletes.

In addition, Greg has significant experience related to state and federal gaming regulation, including sports mobile betting, fantasy sports, and iCasino gaming. He is also active in the field of digital assets, where his work includes advising NFT platforms and digital token exchanges both on general corporate matters and federal securities law.

Greg’s clients also rely on him for outside general counsel to advise on legal and managerial issues such as human resources, employment, corporate governance, and investigatory matters.

Prior to joining Foley, Greg served as an associate attorney at a boutique New York sports litigation firm where he provided legal representation to clients in the entertainment and media industries. Greg also provided contractual and corporate governance services while acting as outside counsel for small and emerging entertainment properties. Earlier in his career, Greg worked for the New York Yankees, where he helped develop the company’s live-event business sector across a range of entertainment disciplines, including college football, professional boxing, and international soccer.
