Angelica L. Novick is a senior counsel and litigation attorney with Foley & Lardner LLP, where her practice focuses on representing clients throughout the United States in high-stakes business and complex commercial litigation and business disputes in state and federal courts and in arbitration. Angelica is a versatile attorney and has the ability to master diverse subject matters, with experience litigating matters involving non-competes and trade secrets, breaches of contract, fraud, interference with contract, intellectual property disputes, breaches of fiduciary duty, the False Claims Act, franchisor-franchisee disputes, employment litigation (including whistleblower retaliation claims) and corporate governance and related disputes. Angelica also has experience conducting internal investigations on behalf of entities, including healthcare entities and responding to subpoenas and civil investigative demands from government organizations including the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General. She is a member of the firm's Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Labor & Employment, Government Enforcement Defense & Investigations and Securities Enforcement & Litigation Practices.
Angelica previously worked as a summer associate with Foley. She also worked as a judicial intern to the Honorable Marcia G. Cooke of the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida; as a law clerk for Gaebe, Mullen, Antonelli & DiMatteo; as a research assistant to Vice Dean Patrick O. Gudridge at the University of Miami School of Law; and as a dean’s fellow for torts at the University of Miami School of Law.
