Overview
Bryce Romero is an associate and litigation lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP, based in the firm’s Houston office, where he is a member of the firm’s Energy Litigation Practice. Bryce began his career with Foley as a summer associate, where he drafted memos and motions related to commercial-litigation cases in state and federal court.
Before joining Foley, Bryce was a law clerk and associate attorney for a law firm in Houston. Bryce obtained a Rule 12(b) dismissal in federal court and obtained post-judgment attorneys’ fees as the prevailing party. Bryce successfully defended against defendant LPG company’s summary judgment motion in breach of contract action. He also obtained partial summary judgment excluding plaintiff’s enhanced damages under the DTPA.
Previously, Bryce worked as a summer associate for a law firm in Houston, where he researched and drafted memos and motions on commercial litigation issues.
Bryce served as a judicial intern for The Honorable David Hittner in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas and for The Honorable Alfred Bennett in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
Other notable work experience Bryce has includes working as a field investigator for a personal injury and accident law firm in Beaumont, Texas, where he served as the first contact for clients and point person for insurance and medical providers. Bryce also worked as a legislative director for a state representative in Austin, Texas, where he secured $3.5 million in funding for a new visitors’ center at a Texas state park. Additionally, Bryce served as a legislative aide at an Austin-based governmental affairs consulting firm, where he provided guidance and strategic advice on government contracting to large corporate entities.
