Richard T. Zaleskie

A corporate attorney who never loses sight of his clients' business goals, Richard  Zaleskie is skilled at handling transactions that are both multinational in scope and financially complex.

Richard's clients go to him for strategic guidance on entity formation, governance, operations, and procedures. He represents issuers and purchasers in private offerings, and debt and equity securities; private equity and mezzanine funds in fund formation and equity co-investments; and various corporate clients in entity formation and governance matters.

His notable cross-border transactions include forming a fund in the Cayman Islands with European investors participating in financing a Taiwanese operating company and drafting the main transaction documents for a German company acquiring a U.S. subsidiary.

Adept at navigating the intersection of business and policy, Richard put his analytical skills to use by serving nonprofits when he was living in the Charlotte area. While serving as a representative and chairperson for the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council, he oversaw roughly $4 million in state funds designated for organizations that provide services to at-risk youth. He also rewrote council bylaws and advised on compliance, proposals and budgetary processes.
