The presentation will provide an overview of the various Medicare contractors and discuss recent developments related to Medicare contractor audits and investigations, proposed legislation to address the backlog of Medicare appeals at the HHS Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals (OMHA), penalties for failure to provide information associated with investigations and audits, and strategies for providers on statistical sampling and CMS payment suspension.
