Lord Quoted on Florida Hiring Policies

Partner Jack Lord was quoted in an article that appeared in the Diario de negocios de Jacksonville on February 1, 2013 titled “Healthier workplaces: Best ways to reduce health care costs.” Referring to a Cleveland Clinic mentioned in the article that will not hire anyone who is a smoker, Lord stated that a company can refuse to hire under such specialized circumstances without compromising the law in Florida. He added that many companies will choose to grandfather in current employees who may otherwise be disqualified by new hiring conditions.
