Human Rights Initiative Presents Gardere with Angel of Freedom Award

Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP is pleased to announce that the Firm has been honored with the Angel of Freedom Award by the Human Rights Initiative of North Texas. The awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 15.

Each year, HRI recognizes individuals and companies who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to carrying out the organization’s mission. This year, Gardere was selected for the award based on the number of cases the Firm managed, as well as the quality of work and financial contributions. To date, Gardere has accounted for more than 2,345 hours of pro bono work by approximately 30 lawyers and paralegals valued at approximately $1 million.

HRI offers free legal representation to those victims who are most vulnerable and, often times, invisible to the justice system.
