El socio Nate Lacktman fue citado en un Miami Today article, “Equal Insurance Coverage for Telehealth Remains Elusive,” about Senate Bill 280, Florida’s telehealth bill.
Lacktman said the bill is “very disappointing” as it does not include recommendations from the Telehealth Advisory Council’s report on the state of telehealth in Florida, one of which being to allow insurance coverage for telehealth services. He explained that since Florida residents rely heavily on their insurance plans, this would keep Florida behind other states in offering cutting-edge health care services. Lacktman noted that the bill contains a few positives, including its definition of telehealth and the ability to prescribe controlled substances and conduct examinations through telehealth services.
