Dr. Hays advises clients on a wide range of technologies related to biopharmaceuticals, including the areas of immunology, molecular and cell biology, cell-based therapeutics, therapeutic compositions, methods of treatment, diagnostics, probiotics, and agricultural biotechnology. Her practice encompasses all aspects of IP procurement and management, including patent prosecution, noninfringement, freedom-to-operate, and validity opinions, investment due diligence, and licensing. She has extensive experience in the design and implementation of IP platforms for early-stage companies.

Dr. Hays completed her Ph.D. at Northwestern University, with post-doctoral studies at Washington University Medical School in St. Louis. She then joined the faculty at the University of Kansas where she was an assistant professor in the Department of Molecular Biosciences.
