Aude’s practice focuses on patent counseling and procurement, freedom-to-operate analysis, counseling on infringement and invalidity issues, and due diligence as part of licensing and merger and acquisition negotiations. The companies she works with develop technology in a variety of fields, including genetically modified organisms (mammals to microorganisms); recombinant cells (stem cells and chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells); recombinant molecules (small molecules, antibodies, lentiviral vectors, adenoviral vectors, and genes); biologics manufacturing; gene therapies; therapeutics; vaccines (peptides, DNA, or mRNA); dietary supplements; diagnostics; cleantech; and cosmetics.

Prior to joining Foley, Aude was an intern in the Office of the General Counsel and Office for Interactions with Industry at Partners HealthCare (now known as Mass General Brigham) while attending Boston University School of Law.

Prior to law school and after earning her doctoral degree (Ph.D.), Aude spent about a decade working as an academic research scientist at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City/Howard Hughes Medical Institute; and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
