Foley Partner Sharon Barner will be speaking at the American Intellectual Property Law Association’s (AIPLA) 2009 Mid-Winter Institute in Miami, FL. Barner will deliver a presentation titled “Diversity in IP Law/Women in IP Law” at 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. on January 30, 2009.
Barner will share her insights on management issues, providing her perspectives as a woman and a minority, and how these factors may (or may not) contribute to her perspective on management decisions. She will share her views on important issues facing the legal industry today, including lawyer retention, billable hours, compressed work weeks, developing a sustainable partner level practice, and connecting to the “millenials.”
