Corporate Monitor May be in Wal-Mart's Checkout Lane

Partner Scott Fredericksen said hiring an independent corporate monitor may indicate to the Department of Justice that a company is willing to proactively resolve potential violations of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. He added that independent monitors can conduct reviews, tests, audits and interviews that assist in the development of a compliance program.
