Foley & Lardner LLP partner Carrie Hoffman commented in the Law360 article, “Pumping Break Guidance For Airline Crews Falls Flat,” offering insight on the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) recent guidance on in-flight pumping breaks.
Hoffman, chair of Foley’s Labor & Employment Practice, commented that the guidance, released in January, gives employers a lot of flexibility.
“It doesn’t really appear like it requires a whole lot,” she added. “The FAA isn’t dictating anything to the airlines the way I read the guidance, and the airlines are still free to figure it out again, as long as they’re not jeopardizing safety.”
