Ariba Ahmad focuses on patent and trademark litigation while growing her knowledge beyond IP litigation by working on trademark matters along with Foley’s Trademark, Copyright & Advertising Practice. She is a member of the firm’s IP Litigation Practice.
Before joining Foley, Ariba worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable Sara Elizabeth Lioi, chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, where she prepared bench memos, briefed motions for clerks, and conducted legal research. She was also a judicial extern for the Honorable Emanuella D. Groves of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth District. Ariba worked as a Civil Procedure honors fellow and Business Associations honors fellow during law school. In addition to her litigation experience, she has a strong interest and passion for pro bono. During law school she worked at an immigration clinic within Case Western Reserve University School of Law and continues that at Foley by working on pro bono asylum matters.
Prior to law school, Ariba gained experience in the health care technology space while working for Cerner and is familiar with electronic medical records and their related federal regulations. Since joining Foley, she has continued to pursue her interest as a member of Foley’s Health Care & Life Sciences Sector and keeping up to date on legal health care trends and issues.
