Associate

Jay Yoon represents clients in high-stakes disputes, including securities litigation, First Amendment lawsuits, and complex commercial litigation. He brings substantive experience in motion practice, depositions, and written discovery in support of trials and arbitrations across the country, including in Texas, California, and the Delaware Court of Chancery.

As a law student, Jay was a member of the Texas Law Review, a mock trial tournament champion, and the student head of the first-year small group mentorship program. He also interned for the U.S. Department of Justice in the Money Laundering and Asset Recovery Section and the Austin U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Before law school, Jay served as an artillery officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. He left as a captain after six years of active duty, including multiple deployments across the Middle East and Asia, in roles ranging from a platoon commander leading fifty-two Marines to an acquisition program manager of the Marine Corps’ ground radar portfolio. He brings his passion for service to his daily work as well as his pro bono practice supporting veterans and asylum applicants.
