The Houston Business Journal covered the impact of falling oil prices on smaller upstream oil and gas companies in Houston, noting that businesses may be forced to sell or restructure under Chapter 11 later in the year.
Gardere Partner John P. Melko, chair of the Firm's Financial Restructuring and Reorganization Practice Group, told the publication: "We're seeing ripples, but we're not seeing waves crashing on the shore. (But) if these prices stick, then we're going to see widespread restructuring in the next couple of months."
