Partner Gardner Davis was quoted in an Agenda article, “Splitting CEO and President Roles Makes Sense for Some Boards,” on March 28, 2016. The article discussed how some boards are making a push encouraging CEOs to give up their additional duties as president. Davis was quoted saying, “As a matter of corporate law, the board can decide whether the corporation is run by an officer designated as general manager or senior wizard. … If Splitting the title of President and CEO works for the management team, more power to them. But it’s not a legal issue.”
