福里与拉德纳律师事务所合伙人唐纳德·施罗德在彭博法律文章 《马萨诸塞州法官与审判律师界拥抱六人陪审团》中指出,即便疫情时期的限制措施已解除,小型陪审团仍保持盛行之势,马萨诸塞州民事法院的效率因此得到提升。
施罗德在谈及去年同意以六名陪审员和两名候补陪审员开庭审理的案件时,着重强调了积极意义。"我当然不希望拖延审判进程。迅速组建陪审团并直接进入开庭陈述和证据展示阶段,这确实是件好事。"
施罗德表示,未来法院很可能会继续"寻求以更小规模的陪审团进行更快速的民事陪审团审判",但他认为这不会成为常态。
