Partner Judith Waltz was quoted in an article published in the Report on Medicare Compliance on June 10, 2014, titled “Payment Suspension for Credible Fraud Allegation Turns up the Heat on Providers.” The article explained how the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and Medicaid agencies may block payments to a large number of providers and impose suspensions on a variety of services and care providers. Waltz was quoted saying, “If someone learns they are under investigation, they need to be prepared for the possibility – moving up to the probability – for payment suspension, especially on the Medicaid side.”
