Foley's Tenure-Based Programming: The Annual Senior Counsel Meeting
April 30, 2021
Each year, Foley hosts tenure-based programming to help welcome attorneys into new roles at the firm (for example, New Associate Orientation and the Newly Promoted Partner Program). One such program is our Annual Senior Counsel Meeting, where our most senior associates participate in training focused on the skills they are working to hone as they advance to partnership, including delegation of work, providing meaningful feedback, leadership and business development. The meeting always features opportunities for networking within the firm. This year, our virtually hosted Senior Counsel Meeting included a Cheese Tasting Event led by Julia Birnbaum of the Philly Cheese School. Julia selected three different types of cheeses, and each Senior Counsel received their very own cheese box in the mail, along with a Foley-branded cheese board. Housemates were invited to attend as Julia led us through cheese tasting and education on all sorts of cheese knowledge. The idea for the program was inspired by one of our partners who hosted a virtual cheese tasting event in 2020 as a way to connect with a client he was unable to visit during the pandemic.
