Post-Election Trade: U.S. Investors/Exporters & Mexico
International Business Coalition Meeting
December 8, 2016
Partner Arcie I. Jordan presented “Post-Election Trade: U.S. Investors/Exporters & Mexico” at the International Business Coalition meeting in Austin, Texas.
Ms. Jordan discussed the economic relationship between the U.S. and Mexico and the importance of Mexico trade to Texas exporters. She went on to identify the potential effects on U.S. investors in Mexico – and U.S. exporters to Mexico – that could result from certain trade policies promised during the campaign by President-elect Trump, and offered thoughts on proactive steps U.S. businesses may wish to take in order to be prepared for such developments – or seek redress for certain measures.
