In January 2007, revisions to the Medicare Conditions of Participation for hospitals became effective. These changes will have significant effects on hospital operations – both adding obligations and removing obstacles. Ms. Anderson and Ms. Benator addressed in detail these new compliance obligations, and discussed the effect on day-to-day practice.
