MLK Jr. Oratory Competition

What would Dr. King’s vision be for America in 2020?

Foley & Lardner LLP is pleased to host elementary school students from schools in Dallas, Houston and Chicago who have composed original speeches, incorporating ideals from Dr. King’s writings, speeches and other records, to answer this year's MLK Jr. Oratory Competition theme question, "What would Dr. King’s vision be for America in 2020?"

This event is designed to recognize and encourage the writing and oratory skills of elementary school students. It is a celebration of cultural diversity and an opportunity to spotlight talented students as they learn about Dr. King.

The students’ speeches will not only celebrate Dr. King’s enduring message, but also demonstrate how his words continue to impact and inspire their own lives.

Each event will take place on Friday, January 17, 2020.
