Internet & Social Media Privacy Laws

04 April 2012 Past Event

12:30-1:30 p.m. CDT

TexasBarCLE will present a webcast on "Internet and Social Media Privacy Laws," led by Partner Peter S. Vogel, Chair of Gardere's Internet, eCommerce, and Technology Industry Team, on Wednesday, April 4 from 12:30–1:30 PM CT. Registration may be completed here.

In 2012, virtually every client uses the Internet to manage their businesses, while at the same time, all Internet and social media sites have access to certain personal information of visitors to those sites. All lawyers need to know about privacy laws that affect their preparation for trial, finding out information about witnesses, and learning about parties to complex transactions. This webcast will provide an up-to-date presentation about U.S. privacy laws and those of other countries so that lawyers will be better prepared to give their clients advice.

One hour of MCLE credit is being offered.
