Upcoming Changes to EU Privacy Regulations

Attorney Eric Levy recently presented “Upcoming Changes to EU Privacy Regulations” at a Gardere international trade practice group meeting.
The presentation covered the significance of the upcoming changes to European privacy law under the recently approved General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which goes into effect in May 2018. The ways in which U.S. companies can comply with the GDPR and adequately protect the personal data of EU residents under the new Privacy Shield compliance program was also discussed.
