ABA Forum on Franchising Conference

Jason B. Binford, a partner in the firm’s financial restructuring and reorganization practice group, will present on the panel “W-3 – Basics of Franchisee Bankruptcies” at the ABA’s 40th Annual Forum on Franchising Conference in Palm Desert, California.

Financially troubled franchisees are an unfortunate fact of life, but the world of bankruptcy law can be a foreign land to the general franchise practitioner. This program will provide an overview of the bankruptcy process and how it can impact a franchise relationship, from both the franchisor’s and the franchisee’s perspective. The panelists will also discuss the steps parties can take to better position themselves in the event of a bankruptcy filing.
