Gardere’s Peter A. McLauchlan, chair of the maritime and aviation industry team, and senior attorney Anacarolina Estaba Bendfeldt delivered a panel discussion presentation on international business to the Houston chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel. They were accompanied on the panel by Kevin Colby, the general counsel of GOWell International LLC.
The panelists discussed conducting business internationally and explored various country-specific rules and regulations, from the Middle East to the Arctic’s Kara Sea region. They also provided guidance on obtaining licenses from the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control, and delivered an update on enforcement actions.
