TechNewsWorld Asks Partner Peter Vogel about FCC, Google Battle

TechNewsWorld recently covered the Federal Communications Commission's action taken against Google. Gardere Partner Peter S. Vogel, chair of the Firm's Internet, eCommerce and Technology Industry Team was asked to comment on the subject.

"The fact is, Google wasn't violating any U.S. laws," Mr. Vogel said. "The reality is, it is not against the law to collect information from unprotected WiFi systems. What you do with that information can be illegal, of course. But there is no evidence Google has broken any laws."
