Lee: New Florida manufacturing law to grow local industry.” The article explores Florida Legislature’s decision to expand the sales tax exemption for machinery and equipment. Lee was quoted saying “It may attract foreign companies to come into the U.S. in a broad variety of different industries. There always have been certain tax exemptions for certain industries, such as energy, aerospace and national defense, but now we’re going to provide a competitive edge for all the other industries.”
