Partner Andrew Baum was quoted in a
Bloomberg article, “
Master of Your Domain? Maybe in .Com But Not in .Sucks,” on May 13, 2015. The article discussed the new domain suffix, “.sucks,” which is available to trademark holders through June 1, after which anyone can purchase the domains. Baum said there isn’t much governments or companies can do about “.sucks,” because criticism is considered free speech. He was quoted saying, “First Amendment protection is broad. Trademark law only protects against confusion.”
