Foley Miami litigation attorney Natalia Salas was named a top “40 Under 40” Outstanding Lawyer of South Florida by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The award recognizes attorneys and community leaders who have demonstrated excellence in the legal field and made significant contributions to the local community. Salas serves as an attorney ad litem for minor children in dependency proceedings, where she advocates on behalf of victims of human trafficking, and in immigration proceedings involving humanitarian parole visas. Salas has also served as “Big Sister” for Big Brothers & Big Sisters of America since 2009.
Salas, along with the other award recipients, were honored at a gala event held on November 7, 2015. The gala event was attended by judiciary and local community leaders, including United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, Wilfredo A. Ferrer, who was the keynote speaker. The event raised approximately $70,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Salas was one of the top five fundraisers.
