Partner Peter Vogel Featured in E-Commerce Times Discussing Apple, Samsung Settlement

Partner Peter S. Vogel, chair of the Firm's Internet, eCommerce and Technology Industry Team, spoke with E-Commerce Times about Samsung’s agreement to pay Apple $548 million in a patent settlement. Apple claimed that Samsung stole features from the iPhone for its own smart devices.
However, Samsung also stated in the filing that it reserves the right to reclaim or obtain a partial reimbursement. "I think Samsung realizes the likelihood that they will lose the current case on appeal," said Mr. Vogel. "The only real debate is that the damages Apple won are too high."
