Foley is proud to announce the firm has been recognized by Working Mother magazine and Yale Law Women for its commitment to retaining and promoting women lawyers as well as family friendly practice.

  • For the fourth consecutive year, Foley has been named to the “Best Law Firm for Women” list by Working Mother magazine and Flex-Time Lawyers. The recognition highlights the top law firms defining and implementing best practices in retaining and promoting women lawyers.
  • Foley was also named to the Top 10 Family Friendly Firms of 2016 by Yale Law Women. The survey ranks relative importance of various family-friendly policies in combination with policies designed to foster competition and fairness.

Foley offers an array of career programs and initiatives, along with family-oriented benefits and policies to support the retention and advancement of working parents and women attorneys. For example, the Working Parent Coach Program pairs new parents with an attorney coach who is also a working parent to provide personal support and information about planning for and transitioning back from parental leave. In addition, Foley has various business development and leadership offerings for women attorneys, including business development grants funded by the Women’s Network and a management development series.

Both recognitions measure various family-friendly policies and best practices in retaining and promoting women lawyers, including workforce representation; time off and leaves; child care; flexibility; leadership, compensation and advancement of women; and development and retention of women.
