Fredericksen Discusses Russia Investigation on CBS News

02 August 2017 CBS Evening News News

Partner Scott Fredericksen appeared on CBS Evening News today to discuss the widening congressional investigation of alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election and, specifically, into Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting with a Russian lawyer in June 2016.

Congressional investigators announced that they are now seeking all relevant documents of everyone involved in a meeting with a Russian lawyer in June 2016, including those of Jared Kushner and Paul Manafort. Fredericksen explained to CBS Evening News that while Congressional investigators have subpoena power, it is a lengthy process. "The special counsel will have already issued a subpoena to the company for the phone records, text messages – all those records,” he said.
