Alejandro GóMez-Strozzi Quoted in La Razon About a Favorable Resolution for Mexico in the Wto Regarding U.S. Tariffs

Partner Alejandro Gómez-Strozzi was quoted in a La Razon article, “Prevén fallo favorable a México de OMC, sobre aranceles de EU” about the anticipated ruling favoring Mexico from the World Trade Organization, in the dispute settlement procedure against the U.S. tariffs on steel and aluminum. He said that the decision of the United States to appeal under Section 232 is not technically supported since it is not a matter of national security. Gómez-Strozzi thinks the ruling could take from one to two years and that the Mexican steel industry is legally protected during this time.
