Partner Mike Okaty has been re-appointed as chair of the American Bar Association’s Senior Housing and Assisted Living Committee, part of the Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law.
Okaty was appointed committee chair last year; his reappointment as chair begins Sept. 1, 2019 and extends through 2020.
The committee addresses the unique problems of providing housing and related services to seniors. It encompasses the continuing care retirement community, congregate care assisted living facilities and residential aspects of nursing care, including subsidies and other government programs.
