Trkla Comments on Possible Position Limits on Speculative Futures Contracts
01 January 2020
Partner Katie Trkla was quoted in a Law360 article, “SEC And CFTC Regulatory Priorities To Watch In 2020,” about the possibility that the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), the nation’s principal regulator on derivatives, will enact position limits on certain speculative futures contracts.
Trkla said the possibility of position limits has been hanging over the industry for a long time. “There is perhaps an element of position limits fatigue and wanting to get that wrapped up,” she said.
