Sainvil Named Miami City Lead for Leadership Council on Legal Diversity

Miami associate Akiesha Sainvil was selected to become a City Lead for Miami for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD).

As a City Lead, Sainvil will serve as the primary, local liaison between LCLD and local law students and law school administrations, and attorney mentors in Miami.


In 2017 Sainvil was a LCLD Pathfinder . The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity is an organization of more than 320 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who have dedicated themselves to creating a truly diverse U.S. legalprofession.


Sainvil is a member of the firm's Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice. She represents and counsels clients in high-stakes business and complex litigation matters, with special emphasis on commercial litigation, product liability, healthcare, and financial services matters. She has litigated cases on behalf of clients across varying industries, including major retailers, pharmaceutical companies, product manufacturers, financial and healthcare institutions, among others, in both federal and state courts across the nation, and in arbitration. 


Prior to entering private practice, Sainvil served as a judicial law clerk to the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Judge D. Michael Fisher  While in law school, she interned for the U.S. District Court Judge David S. Cercone of the Western District of Pennsylvania. She also served as a certified legal intern in University of Pittsburgh’s immigration law clinic, where she represented immigrants seeking asylum and facing removal from the United States in immigration court.
