Partners Anne Ross and Morgan Tilleman were quoted in the S&P Global Market Intelligence article, “GuideOne latest specialty P&C insurer to pursue mutual conversion,” providing insights on the benefits of mutual insurance holding company conversions and why this type of restructuring continues to be attractive to midsize P&C insurers.

“The flexibility is an important benefit to the insurance company and its members,” said Morgan Tilleman, commenting on one of the primary benefits insurers cite when applying for this type of conversion.

Regarding planning for this type of conversion in the current business environment, “[Anne] noted that the structure ‘has become even more compelling’ at a time when the pandemic has ‘accelerated some trends already pushing small and mid-sized companies to look at consolidation.’”
