Overview

Gordon Davenport III is a partner and litigation attorney with Foley & Lardner LLP who has more than three decades of experience representing clients in high stakes complex commercial litigation. His work includes defense of consumer product class actions, business disputes, business torts and other complex commercial cases.

Mr. Davenport also has extensive experience in the insurance field, including coverage disputes, class actions, and issues involving D&O and other executive risk coverages. Mr. Davenport is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Insurance & Reinsurance Litigation practices.

Admissions and Professional Memberships

Mr. Davenport is admitted to practice in Wisconsin, and in the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Federal, Fifth, Seventh and Eleventh Circuits, and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin. He is a member of the Dane County Bar Association, State Bar of Wisconsin and American Bar Association (Litigation and Tort and Insurance Practice Sections).

Education

Mr. Davenport is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, where he received his business administration degree in 1980 and his J.D. degree (cum laude) in 1983. He was a member of the University of Wisconsin Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif.
