Overview

Christopher L. Griffin is a retired partner and business litigation lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. He conducted a broad practice in commercial litigation, focusing on trade secrets, non-compete agreements, interference with business relations, and other business torts; libel, slander and defamation; and real estate litigation. Mr. Griffin was a member of the firm’s Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Appellate Practices. He also was a member of the Sports Industry Team.

Mr. Griffin has litigated and tried complex commercial matters in all three of Florida’s United States District Courts, and in Florida Circuit Courts throughout the state. He has argued appeals in the Florida Supreme Court, the U.S. Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and several of Florida’s District Courts of Appeal.

Mr. Griffin received his J.D., summa cum laude, in 1978 from Florida State University College of Law, and his B.A. in 1976, summa cum laude, from Florida State University.
