Phillip Hanrahan is a retired partner with Foley & Lardner LLP and was a member of the Transactional & Securities Practice. He focused on general business and corporate law, with emphasis on securities, acquisitions, financings, and regulated investment companies. Since joining Foley in 1966, he has enjoyed a particularly active practice in the merger and acquisition field, having participated in over 100 such transactions. He also has participated in a number of public offerings, both equity and debt, serving as either issuer’s or underwriter’s counsel.

Phillip is a member of the Milwaukee, Wisconsin and American Bar Associations. Over the years, he has served on a number of State Bar of Wisconsin committees and has taught at several Bar-sponsored seminars.

Phillip was Peer Review Rated as AV® Preeminent™, the highest performance rating in Martindale-Hubbell’s peer review rating system.

Phillip received his law school education at Harvard Law School, graduating in 1966. He graduated third in his class from Bridgewater State College, Bridgewater, Mass., in 1962, where he also earned honors as the top history student in his class.
