Jun Young Kim, PhD is a patent engineer in the Intellectual Property Department with Foley & Lardner LLP. Jun is based in the Madison office where he is a member of the Electronics Practice Group.
Prior to joining Foley, Jun was a graduate research assistant with extensive experience in electrical engineering and computational materials science at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Jun fulfilled his military service as a Republic of Korea Army officer at the Korea Military Academy, where he was appointed as an assistant professor and taught cadets undergraduate physics. In addition, Jun worked as a student researcher specializing in nanophotonics at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology.
Jun is the lead author of 7 peer-reviewed journal articles and coauthor of +10 journal articles.
