The internet currency bitcoin is used by many clients and lawyers, but few lawyers know that bitcoin relies on blockchain. As a result, there are unknown legal issues regarding blockchain. This presentation will explain legal and technical details about blockchain so that lawyers will be better prepared to help their clients. Ethical considerations will also be discussed, including how protecting attorney-client privilege may be affected.
