Their session is titled “Federal and National Initiatives, the Physician Sunshine Act, and Revised Voluntary Codes of Conduct.” The federal overlay on conflict issues in physician/industry relationships, new AdvaMed and PhRMA codes that took effect on January 1, 2009, and proposed federal legislation potentially preempting much of what the states are doing.
