In February 2007, the IRS published nine “Good Governance Practices” for non-profit companies and the session panelists review and discuss these practices. Additionally, the panel and audience members discuss topics related to having an independent chairman of the board, when a president or chief executive officer should be involved in the nomination and selection process for board members, and what questions a person should ask when considering joining a non-profit board.
