Foley Partner Lawrence Vernaglia will be chairing the 10th Annual Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Hospital & Health Law Conference 2009 with Mark Waxman presenting on May 22, 2009 in Boston, Massachusetts.
Mr. Waxman will be speaking from 2:15 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. with William M. Mandell from Pierce & Mandell, PC. Their session is titled “Federal and National Initiatives, the Physician Sunshine Act, and Revised Voluntary Codes of Conduct.” The federal overlay on conflict issues in physician/industry relationships, new AdvaMed and PhRMA codes that took effect on January 1, 2009, and proposed federal legislation potentially preempting much of what the states are doing.
