Health Care Executive Forum: Strategies and Solutions for Responding to Cost Reform in Massachusetts
In August 2012, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts passed sweeping reforms aimed at capping costs and changing the payment and delivery system. Chapter 224 was passed in an attempt to control state health care costs, which accounted for more than $50 billion in Massachusetts last year. This state law is projected to save the Commonwealth up to $200 billion during the next 15 years.
At this forum, health care attorneys from Foley and consultants from Deloitte will present multi-disciplinary strategies and solutions that may help address the new challenges posed by Chapter 224 to health care providers. We will provide strategies that will help health care providers become:
- Care Ready — Is your care delivery process cost efficient and effective to ensure seamless care across the continuum? Are you providing the appropriate level of care?
- Risk Ready — Are you ready to assume and manage financial risk for the quality and cost of care?
- Deal Ready — Are you ready to gauge the cost and market impact of transactions you are planning to achieve your mission and goals?
The program will include a panel of key Massachusetts regulators who will provide up-to-the minute guidance on implementation of Chapter 224. We will conclude with a reactor panel of leading health care executives who will discuss strategies for consideration to survive and thrive in this increasingly cost-conscious Massachusetts environment. This program is designed for CEOs, CFOs, CIOs, general counsel, and other senior executives.
